You are not alone, in my experience as a sewing teacher, and in owning my own sewing shop I know that most sewers would agree that unless you are a young skinny mini you just will not be able to open a pattern envelope and be able to sew.  As we mature our figures change with so many more curves, and some of these have slipped a bit!

I have trialled all sorts of systems for drafting your own patterns and some of these are just great, but what about home sewers that want to just sew?  What happens to the sewer that doesn't want to spend hours taking measurements and drafting their own pattern?

The answer is Fit Me Patterns.  This fantastic Customized Pattern company will make the pattern to your own unique measurements.  This means that if a pattern piece needs a dart to fit your curve they will be there ... if you have found your bottom heading south, they have made sure that your pants still fit!  Nothing looks better, and makes you look slimmer than clothes that fit!

You can joing Fit Me Patterns anytime and pay their one time fee.  You will be given a download link to take your measurements and set up your own account.  BUT there are 44 measurements that have to be exactly right!  Ouch!

Here is where I can help you, you still go ahead and set up your account paying Fit Me Patterns your one time fee (at the moment $US49), but then you book me to take your measurements.  I am a trained Custom Pattern Consultant, and will happily take your measurements and submit them to Fit Me Patterns.  Bookings can be made through my retail shop, Michelle's Sewing Basket, 2/54 Wantirna Road, Ringwood VIC, tel 03 9870 0011.  If you live elsewhere in Australia you will still be able to use me to take your measurements.  Wtih Skype we can connect and I can direct a friend to measure you while I superise to make sure it is correct, then I will submit the measurements to Fit Me Patterns.
